Florida Real Estate Commission Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Completion of the state-approved 63 hour Sales Associate License Course
- Pass the state-approved course with a minimum grade of 70%
(Associates do not have to be residents of the state of Florida)
 The 63-hour course offered by the Naples School of Real Estate covers principles and practices of real estate, real estate licenses laws, and real estate mathematics. Students may apply to take the state exam before, during, or after the course. Students must sit for the state exam within one year of the date the application is received by the State Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Instructors at the Naples School of Real Estate will guide you through each phase of registration. In addition, students may elect to take a Sales Associate CRAM course that offers an intensive review of materials designed to help pass the state exam.
Keeping Your Real Estate Licenses Active
To maintain your real estate license, Associates must renew the license within an 18 month period, and every 2 years thereafter. If renewing for the first time, Associates must complete the state approved 45-hour Sales Associate Post-License Course in a classroom setting and pass the end-of-course exam. The course must be completed before signing and mailing the state affirmation. When renewing for a second or subsequent times, a continuing education class must be completed. Reactivating A Lapsed License
In order to reactivate a license, the State of Florida requires that Sales Associates must attend specific portions of the Sales Associate Licenses Course. A specific schedule is designed to meet these requirements.
